White As Snow

Orange juice all down the front of my shirt.  Big deal right, well, it is a white shirt, and new, and I really like it.  I know, throw on an orange tie, now it matches.  So I’m washing it now.  Trying to get the stain out.  If the stain isn’t coming out, I’m switching products, scrubbing harder, trying my very best to get my shirt spotless.  II Peter says “make every effort to be found spotless.”  Good news, when you believe in Christ as the son of God, His blood washes you and makes you, well spotless.  That’s right, before we knew Christ, sin had stained us.  Now through Christ, you have experienced the best stain remover of all times.  White as Snow.  This scripture here tells us to make an effort to be spotless.  Now by grace you are saved, not by how good you are, but God wants an effort to do the right thing.  Try, in fact, make every effort to do right, to be honest, faithful, giving, loving, serving, and helping others.  Help your sister with the dishes, don’t hit your brother, bring your wife home a flower.  Give to God, and serve the body of Christ.  Be encouraged today, do right, make every effort to do it.
