We Get Tired
So God comes down and visits with Joshua in chapter 13. Joshua has been in the Promised Land taking territory for 5 years or so. God says to Joshua "You are very old, and there are still very large areas of land to be taken over.." Joshua took some of the land, but not all of it like he was supposed to. Now Joshua is a mighty man of God, a hero of faith. But after five years of fighting it appears he took a break. So God's all, "Hey bud, uhhh, you aren't done." Now was Joshua too old? Well I don’t think so, because Caleb was the same age, and in Chapter 14 Caleb is still fighting. But Joshua was feeling old, tired, worn out. If Joshua gets tired, well so will you. But today God is saying, "Hey, there is still a lot left to do, more territory to take." When you are tired and don't feel like you can go on, well maybe that's a good thing. Maybe it means that now God will have to be your strength. And you know, God is really strong. Now get out your armor of God, blow a trumpet, drink some coffee, sing a song, or something... and hop to it.
