God Wants to Bless You Greatly!

In Deuteronomy 28 we find that God wants to bless you greatly, in every way. Let’s put this together with something written in James 4. It says “You do not have, because you do not ask God.” What do you need, what are your desires. Don’t forget to ask God. Yes he knows what you need, but according to this scripture, he wants to be asked. The scripture goes on to say “When you ask, you do not receive, because you ask with wrong motives, that you may spend what you get on your pleasures.” See a lot of Christians are asking God for new bigger and better stuff, but for the wrong reason. The reason they want to be blessed is all wrong. We must learn to seek first after God’s kingdom, meaning, we want to be blessed so that we can be a blessing to others, and to the furthering of the gospel. Ask God for things that will help God. Become God minded, and offer yourself as a living sacrifice, willing to go do what he wants you to do. Then you are seeking God’s kingdom, and He will be faithful and just to reward you both here on earth and then in heaven. Don’t seek after things that rust and moth destroy, instead, seek after God and his ways, and the other stuff will start falling into place.
