God's Will

So Paul is telling the Colossians church how thankful he is for them because they are keeping a strong faith and growing in love, and so he says in Col 1:9 "For this reason we have not stopped praying for you and asking God to fill you with the knowledge of his will through all spiritual wisdom and understanding." Ah yes, the will of God.  So here we see that God has a will for you. When you have a decision to make, knowing His will is, well, it’s critical. Should I move, should I change jobs, who should I marry... Well we can see here according to the scripture that the knowledge of His will is going to come to you through spiritual wisdom. Spiritual wisdom is wisdom about spiritual things, invisible things, things like Faith and Love. Both are invisible. Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things unseen. And God is love, and God is unseen.  Does God want you to know His will.. Well sure He does, but it's hard to see His will when we look at problems, or circumstances.  Since God is spirit, then that is where the power is, so stop looking at the physical world for a second, pray and ask God to know His will.
