Better News

So the angels were busy a lot as Christ was getting ready to be born. And some angels went and talked with some shepherds to announce Christ's arrival on the scene.  It says Luke 2:10 But the angel said to them, "Do not be afraid. I bring you good news of great joy that will be for all the people."  You know, our normal reaction to change is fear.  If I'm used to seeing fields and sheep, and suddenly an angel starts talking, well, I get afraid.  So God brings us change, and wants us to not be afraid.  OK, so sometimes news can be bad news, but here it says that God's news is good news.  He has good news for you today.  What is good news? Well, its news that things have and are getting better.  It's news that is described as bringing Great joy, not just a little joy.  OK, well who is this news for?  Well it is for all of us.  All people.  Anyone, no matter where they are, who they are, what they have done, can receive Christ and have full access to the covenant God has made with us.  In summary - Fear not - good news -  great joy -  for all man.  We have a good God.
