A Christmas Diddy

There once was boy named Toby
Who couldn’t wait for Christmas Eve
He didn’t ask anyone for Clothes He
Had a list of gifts to achieve
Like Mountains of Candy,
Toys games  and he,
Wished for a brand new Ferrari with keys,
X box360  playstation3  300 vids and three wii’s
Ipod Iphone Ipad Imac and any other I’s if you please
A book from his mother
A nook from his brother
And four somewhat questionable movies
So many gifts to list and appraise
No time for chores or dinner
Toby avoided turkey and mayonnaise
And found himself getting much thinner
No time for work, no time for my family,
There are so many things that I need
Can’t go to school or study today
My life's only time for some greed,
But poor little Toby
Got much so much more when he
Prayed at His church on His knees
The gift of God’s son
Jesus Christ who has won
And had come to set Toby free,
Although he still plays
and still hates mayonnaise
Toby has stopped asking for everything he sees
Now it’s time with his mommy
Or drawing with Tommy
He found it’s better to give than receive
