Life Better For Now and

When Jesus walked the earth he healed and helped many.  What was He doing?  He was making life better for those who were living.  Jesus makes life better for us in two ways, first, He spoke of eternal things, and He made life better for us by removing death.  Heaven, streets of gold, and the sweet by and by.  But also notice that he made life better for those currently living.  To the blind man he did not say “Oh don’t worry about not being able to see, it will all be better later when you get to glory land.”  No, he said “eyes be opened”  He made life better now too.  And look what it says in  Psalms 107:20 “He sent His word and healed them.”  Or in Matthew 8:8 when a man asked Jesus to heal his servant who was not there at the moment he said “– but speak the word only and my servant shall be healed.”  Read in Isaiah 53:5 and with His stripes we are healed.  God gave us the gift of Jesus to make things better now and later.  You don’t have to wait for the sweet by and by to have joy.  Pray and ask God today, what do you need?  He will meet all of your needs according to His riches in glory.
