What Does God Want?

So you're praying one day about the things you want to see happen in your life, and then a thought comes, well, that’s what I want, but what does God want?  So you ask, "So.. um.. God, what do you want?"  Then you're thinking, well God can't want anything, cause, you know, He's got everything right?  Streets of gold, saints, singing angels, you know, really, everything is God’s, so what could he possibly want.  Well, 1st Timothy 2:3 says "God our Savior... wants all men to be saved and to come to a knowledge of the truth."  Ahha, well there is something God wants.  OK, now we must ask, is there anything we can do about this?  And the answer is YES.   We can give this gift by telling others about Christ, get the knowledge of the truth out there.  You can share your story, what God has done for you with those in your world.  You can help God with something that He wants.  And for all the things that He helps us with, well, I just don't think it's too much to ask.  So today let's all decide to give it a shot, let's find one person this month to invite to church and tell about Jesus.
