Retreat, Recharge
When God describes His house he calls it a sanctuary. And here in His sanctuary He has promised to give you rest. A sanctuary is defined as a refuge, a protected place. You see all week long you are out fighting, taking territory, some times losing territory. Then the TV and billboards are telling you what to think, and the news is telling you the world is falling apart, and the people are beating ya down, You know what we need, we need a spa day. Ahh the relaxing music of a spa. Now a spa might be a rest for the body, but how about renewal for the mind, the will, and the emotions. How about plugging into the sanctuary of God, a quiet place of rest, protection, where you can lay your burdens at the feet of Christ, reconnect in prayer, and find reflect in a deep way. Spas don't make us new, but Christ does, and when two or more are gathered, He is there. He's better than a massage or a facial, and his oil is the oil of anointing. BTW I got you an appointment for this Sunday at 10am at the spa of God, his house. See ya there?
