So I'm at this church and all these people are singing and there's lights and big screens and the people are moving around to the music and clapping and hands are in there air and someone next to me is all "what are these people doing?" And I thought, well I don't know. In the bible there was clapping and dancing and instruments in worship, and people shoutin, so I guess it's more of that. What should really matter though is what I'm doing. Worshipping God doesn't have to be me lifting my hands, or it could be, but what I don't want to miss is the time with God. Now I like the lights and the drums and all the shouting, because my God is amazing, but the important part of worshipping God is intimacy, a time to focus all of my attention on God, and not on all the the burdens from the week. I have this song with these words I can sing to him, and that should mean something to me. When you come into the house of God there is an opportunity to have a moment, a moment with your creator, time with your redeemer, hunger for that, don't let it pass you by.
