In the End You Stand Victorious

In Genesis 12:1  The Lord said to Abram, “Leave your country, your people and your father’s household and go to the land I will show you.”  You know that sometimes obeying God has us leaving the things that make us comfortable.  God leads Abraham to the land of Canaan.  Now earlier Abraham’s dad was traveling, look what the bible says ”they set out to go to Canaan, but when they came to Haran, they settled there.”  Abrahams dad had stopped.  A lot of times we as Christians stop along the way, we get comfortable and settle for something less.  I don’t think it was easy for Abraham to leave.  He ran into famine, and had to go to Egypt, but he stayed obedient.  It was probably hard work and sweat.  His wife may have been all “where we going” and he’s all, umm this way.”  But in the grand scheme of his life it was a passing of just a moment of suffering to find God’s plan for his life.  So how does it fair for Abraham in the end?  If you asked him he might say “YES”.  Obeying God isn’t always easy at first, but in the end you stand victorious, shining your light and praising the God of heaven, cuz he knew better than you. Do the right thing.
