A Simple Thing Like Being On Time

As a follower of Christ we are trying to get a lot of things right, and we also find out pretty quick that it isn’t so easy.  It’s a tough world, our flesh likes stuff it shouldn’t, our friends aren’t always super helpful in our quest to live right, and there is a tempter, the devil.  So how about just a simple thing like being on time.  You know that Jesus showed up in Jerusalem at the exact right time, and went into the Garden of Gethsemane to pray when it was right.  He was crucified on the night of preparation, as the Passover lamb it was so important that He got the timing perfect.  Now sometimes we are late for stuff.  Okay, so in some cases it really doesn’t matter, but sometimes it really does.  Sometimes people are counting on you, even waiting for you.  When someone has to wait for you, you have stolen something; time. Now I’m late too, so I say we work on this together.  If you are late for work, well, you know, it really isn’t traffics fault, or your alarm clock.  Wake up earlier, leave earlier, give yourself enough time that if there is a problem you’ll still be on time.  It’s a simple thing like being on time.  Oops, my time is up..
