What is Going To Make You Happy?

So what is it going to take to make you happy.  Well a person who has nothing might say I just need some food, and a billion dollars, then I’ll be happy.  A person who is sick might say, health will make me happy.  Now God will meet your needs, and Jesus certainly came to heal the sick, but remember also there are plenty of rich healthy people that are not happy.  It’s like we all just need one more thing to be happy.  If I just make the cheer squad I’ll be happy.  Oh when I finally get married I’ll be happy.  Or when I win the lottery.  But Psalms 4:7 says “You have filled my heart with greater joy than when their grain and new wine abound.”  Real joy, joy that lasts comes from the Lord.  This doesn’t mean God doesn’t want you to have blessings or health.  It just means you shouldn’t rely on anything but God for happiness.  He gives joy, and it has nothing to do with what you need.  Happy is something you can be right now.  Let God fill your heart with joy, and you’ll be smiling more than the people who have abounding whatever because happiness comes from God.  Remember to Seek Him first, and He’ll take care each and every need you have with His riches.
