Science Changes, God Doesn't

The story that Genesis gives us describes how, initially, God created just one continent, or area of land. Reading in Genesis 1:9, God said, "Let the water under the sky be gathered to one place and let dry ground appear." It was so. At first, this seemed to contradict the reality that there are seven continents. So science and exploration were suddenly at odds with the Bible. This created quite a stir, as exploration continued through the 15th and 16th centuries. But today, in school, you will learn that it is believed that, at one time, all the continents were connected into just one body of land. It was noticed that all these continents fit together like a puzzle. So it took a little while for science to realize that the Bible had it right. Things are the same today. Science sometimes is believed to be disagreeing with the Bible, but if you just wait, well, every 50 years or so, science changes what it is saying, and gets closer to what God has already said. Don't build your life on something that shifts so frequently… like science or philosophy. Build your life on the Word and Truth, the message that is the same yesterday, today, and forever. Build your life on the message of Christ. It's a rock that cannot be moved.
