You are called by God to love everyone. And yes, that includes the people you don't like. But here’s the thing, loving everyone doesn't mean I am willing to go into business with just anyone. It doesn't mean I make everyone my best friend and go to the movies with them. It doesn’t mean anyone can baby sit my children. And remember the Playground saying "if you love them why don't you marry them." So love isn’t' the same as trust. There are people that common sense will tell me not to let deep into my world. Sometimes people asked to follow Jesus to the next city, and he would say "no". So Jesus gives us a key to help us discern, he says in Matthew 12:33 "Make a tree good and its fruit will be good, or make a tree bad and its fruit will be bad, for a tree is recognized by its fruit" Fruit is what a person has produced. Sometimes we meet someone new and we might be tempted to say "Oh yeah, perfect a new friend, let's invest together, or lets get married, or lets be best friends”.. or whatever else. Slow down. Remember Jesus advice. Let's check out the fruit for a second.
