Haven't You Read?

In Matthew 12:3 The Pharisees complained to Jesus "Look! Your disciples are doing what is unlawful on the Sabbath." He answered, "Haven't you read what David did when he and his companions were hungry?" Now maybe they had never read what David did.  Maybe they had skipped that chapter in the bible.  So then I was wondering if we read the passage Jesus was talking about. Maybe not… Or if we have read it, do we remember it or were we half asleep or distracted when reading it. And so then today the question is this "haven't you read?" Jesus was telling the Pharisees that the answer to their question was available to them, they just needed to read it. It's the same today. Have we read? Read what? Well, the stories in the Word.   They missed Jesus by not having read… or maybe they had read them, but they had not understood them, they had not remembered the story. I don’t want to miss out on Jesus, and all that He has done for me.  What an amazing book we have at our finger tips, so many answers, all knowledge and wisdom, all truth, it's in the bible. Let's be that person that has read.
