What Pride?

So David brings some KFC to his brothers out on the battlefield and hears about the big ole giant blaspheming God.  So David's all, I can take that dude.  (I'm paraphrasing).  So this is what his brother says.  In I Samuel 17:28 "I know how prideful you are, and how wicked your heart is.."  Ooooh, David just got owned by his brother.  But David's heart wasn't wicked, God said David had a heart after his own.  And he wasn't prideful either.  Since pride comes before a fall, and David didn't fall, but knocks out the giant and cuts off his head, well, then David wasn't in pride.  You see sometimes when you believe you can win people will see your confidence and your courage as pride.  God put a bunch of power in you so you could win, but when you say "I can do it" others may be all "brother, I believe your in pride."  Well that's okay, let em say it, but like David, get in their and fight anyways. Do you know what God can do through you?  I do, He has called you more than a conqueror, so get in there and do some conquering, and get me some KFC as you are on the way.
