Come on Brain, Get in the Game

On your mark, get set, wait, I'm not ready.  Has this ever happened to you.  When the race starts and everyone takes off running, but you stand there and say, “Hey, I wasn't ready.  Come back here, do over...”   God says in I Peter 1:13 - "Prepare your minds for action."  Okay mind, get ready.   Ever do something that later you realize was a big mistake.   And sometimes we do things we don't mean because we aren't thinking.  Or an opportunity flies by, but you miss it.  Come on brain, get in the game.  Your mind is ready for action when it is thinking about what you are doing, when it is involved in the decisions, and your mind is best prepared by having God's word put inside.  Then when your body decides what it wants, your mind can be all, "naaa, that's just going to be a bad idea."  And before your mouth says something it shouldn't your mind might be all, "hey, button your lip or were gonna regret it."  And when a big decision comes your way your mind can pull on God's wisdom from His word.  So stay focused, get your mind ready for action today.  Learn, grow, listen, read, ponder, meditate, think, hope, and have self control.
