Urgent Plea

II Corinthians 8: has Paul describing how the people of Macedonia had given money to the Lord.  He says "For I testify that they gave as much as they were able, and even beyond their ability.  Entirely on their own, they urgently pleaded with us for the privilege of sharing in this service to the saints"  Now I give to the Lord, but I don't think I've ever urgently pleaded with someone to give.  I've never said, "hey, I'm pleading with you here bro, I beg of thee, let me give this gift to the Lord."  I mean usually someone is trying to inspire us to give to God, and we need that reminder.  I mean for the most part, people don't like to part with their money.   But these Macedonians, they were crazy.  I mean they pleaded urgently to be able to give, and then they gave more than they had.  So then I'm thinking, well maybe they were just really well off.  But if you read it they were in "extreme poverty".  Paul calls it a "grace of giving".  Well call it whatever you want, I want to be like that.  I want God to know me as the guy like the Macedonians, crazy about giving.
