Well, I’m still talking about Joseph and his dream, so far
we’ve talked about becoming who God says we are, and that the dream needs to
become impossible so that God is employed to help. Joseph both as a slave and in prison shows us
something about his character. He was
not a man who felt beaten. His dream of
becoming a ruler that God had given him must have still been in his heart as
something God would accomplish. He could
have quit on life, feeling like his family and even God had quit on him. Instead, Joseph is diligent as a slave and in
prison. He experiences promotion in both
areas because of his diligence. Having
diligence even when things seem bleak is a key to your God given dreams. Romans 5:3 We also rejoice in our sufferings,
because we know that suffering produces perseverance; perseverance, character; and character, hope,
and hope does not disappoint us.” Was
Joseph suffering, well yes, a bit, but by remaining diligent he produced
character and hope. Joseph worked hard
for nothing, and then God became his reward as his dream was realized. God gives us this story for you and your dreams
to hear. Stay diligent. For Joseph it only took 13 years of
diligence. On the 14 the year, well, you
guess!
